8 Sep – Chris Pine's camp has recently denied rumours that Harry Styles had spit on the actor during the premiere of the movie "Don't Worry, Darling" at the Venice Film Festival. As reported on Insider, earlier this week, a video went viral online, showing Styles taking his seat next to Pine as the audiences clapped their hands. However, just before the British singer sat down, he seemed to be pursing his lips at the same time Pine suddenly stopped clapping and looked downward. The latter then gave a meaningful smile and slightly shook his head.
As many began to speculate, a representative of Pine dismissed it, saying that it was a ridiculous story and a result of an "odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation". "Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine," the rep continued. "There is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist." The movie itself is already marred by the controversy surrounding the supposed conflict between director-actress Olivia Wilde and lead actress Florence Pugh, which the filmmaker had denied. Pugh has remained silent.
