15 Dec – Donnie Yen is set to visit Malaysia next year to promote his new movie, "Sakra". As reported on Oriental Daily, the actor, who also directed and produced the film, will be in the country from 13 to 14 January for a meet-and-greet session, as well as for the premiere of the movie. It is noted that Donnie's last trip to Malaysia was back in 2019 to promote "Ip Man 4: The Finale".
The upcoming movie, based on Jin Yong's wuxia novel, "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils", will be released on 16 January 2023. In it, Donnie plays the lead, Qiao Feng, the martial arts master who is wrongly accused of killing fellow martial artists. Other cast members include Wu Yue, Kara Hui, Grace Wong, Chen Yuqi and Cya Liu. In addition to the film, Donnie also previously co-starred in the fourth chapter of "John Wick", which will hit theatres in March next year.
