20 Jul - After months of pre-production, the team of "Dune" recently announced that Part 2 of the movie is now in production. On 18 July, the film's official Twitter account shared the good news with a photo of the clapper board bearing the words PART TWO. "We're rolling. Production on Dune: Part Two has begun," the caption read.
The upcoming sequel of the Frank Herbert novels, to be helmed yet again by Denis Villeneuve, will see the return of its original stars including lead actors Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya. In addition to the cast of the first movie, several new faces are joining the film, including Austin Butler, Christopher Walker, Florence Pugh, and Lea Seydoux. The first film, released last year, made USD 401.8 million at the box office. "Dune: Part Two" will hit theatres on 17 November 2023.
