26 Sep – The upcoming Paramount horror, "Smile" truly has an excellent marketing team, as its recent gimmick has got everybody talking. Netizens took to social media to express their delight (and horror) as they noticed recently that in each and every Major League Baseball games there is earlier, there had been a person sitting behind home plate. Not moving. And continuously giving a creepy smile. It wasn't just the ball game, though, as viewers also noticed a person appearing on the morning show, "The Today Show" bearing the same look, standing behind host Al Roker. All of them also wore the "SMILE" t-shirt.
One netizen wrote, "I work in entertainment and love baseball and just think it's brilliant viral marketing." Another posted, "The one night I decide to watch my baseball bets there's someone behind home plate at every game doing that creepy smile shit. Thanks. I didn't want to sleep anyways tonight!" But not everybody are loving it, with one netizen saying, "As a baseball fan, I absolutely hated it. It was distracting, which is the point, I guess."
