6 Apr – Director Daniel Espinosa recently confirmed the many rumours about Jared Leto's very method acting in "Morbius", saying that the actor did use a wheelchair for bathroom breaks to stay in character.

In a recent interview to promote the new movie, Espinosa verified a story shared by Mike Ryan about Leto - in which the writer revealed that Leto would stay in character even during the breaks, and would walk to the bathroom with crutches, similar to his titular character.

"I think that what Jared thinks, what Jared believes, is that somehow the pain of those movements, even when he was playing normal Michael Morbius, he needed because he's been having this pain his whole life. Even though, as he's alive and strong, it has to be a difference," said Espinosa.

However, it is noted that the production later made a compromise, enabling Leto to use a wheelchair to go to and fro the bathroom to save more time.

"Hey, man, it's people's processes. Actors have different processes and as director, you support whatever makes it as good as you can be," he added.

This is not the first or second time that Leto went full method for his role. He previously shared how he sent his "Suicide Squad" co-stars weird items to play up the dynamic of The Joker, and would wear special contact lenses to make himself blind for his role in "Blade Runner 2049".
