18 Jul – Although his dream of playing Batman hasn't come true (yet!), Keanu Reeves is elated that he finally gets to voice the Caped Crusader in the upcoming Warner Bros. animated feature, "DC League of Super-Pets". The actor, who spoke to Extra about the guest starring role, expressed, "I have a small part in this film, a bit of a cameo. But even that - just to be a part of a project that [Dwayne] Johnson and Kevin Hart are a part of is awesome, and I got to play Batman." Reeves also admitted that Batman has always been his favourite comic book character, and would love to one day play the role.
"It's always been a... it's been a dream. Pattinson's got Batman right now, and he's doing awesome. Maybe down the road," he said. "Maybe when they need an older Batman." Although Reeves did not get to play Batman in a live-action film, he is no stranger to the world of DC comics, having played John Constantine in the 2005 movie based on the DC Comics' "Hellblazer". "DC League of Super-Pets" is set for release on 28 July.
