24 Jan – Fans of the surprise hit, "Knives Out" will be happy to know that the film will be streaming on Netflix later this year.

Variety recently reported that the said film, helmed by original director Rian Johnson, will be hitting the said streaming service sometime during the last quarter of 2022, following a festival premiere.


The first movie, released in 2019, stars Daniel Craig as private detective Benoit Blanc as he investigates the family of famed crime novelist Harlan Thrombey following the latter's unexpected death and alleged murder.

It was a huge success among audiences and critics alike, earning USD 311.4 million at the box office from a budget of USD 40 million.


Who did it this time?

In January 2020, Johnson revealed that he was writing a sequel focusing on Benoit's new investigation. Then in March last year, Netflix announced that it has bought two "Knives Out" sequels, with filming to begin in June 2021.

Among other stars joining the new movie include Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, Janelle Monae, and Kathryn Hahn and even Ethan Hawke.
