15 Jun - Rumours are rife that Lady Gaga is now in talks to star alongside Joaquin Phoenix in the upcoming sequel of his 2019 Todd Phillip movie, "Joker". According to Deadline, the award-winning singer and actress reportedly could be playing Harley Quinn in the new movie, "Joker: Folie a Deux" if everything falls in line. However, unlike the version played by Margot Robbie in the "Suicide Squad" films, the Todd Phillip version of Harley Quinn - the Arkham Asylum shrink who falls in love with Arthur Fleck/Joker - could be very different from the happy-go-lucky character which Robbie played.
Lady Gaga has already shown her acting prowess before, starring in Bradley Cooper's hit movie, "A Star is Born" and later portrayed Patrizia Reggiani in "House of Gucci". It will be interesting to see how the singer, known to her fans as Mother Monster, will portray the Harley Quinn character if the talks come to fruition.
