28 Jul – Three of Marvel Studios' upcoming movies have now found their directors. In a report released by THR, it was revealed that "Blade" will be directed by Bassam Tariq of "Mogul Mowgli" fame, "Captain America: New World Order" will be helmed by Julius Onah ("Luce"), while Jake Schreier, most known for "Paper Towns", is directing "Thunderbolts".
The three movies are part of Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with "Blade" to be played by Mahershala Ali, while Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson will take over the moniker Captain America. On the other hand, not much has been revealed regarding "Thunderbolt", which is set for release in July 2024. It is noted that earlier, Marvel announced that Destin Daniel Cretton will be helming "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty", which is scheduled for release in May 2025.
