25 May – Nawazuddin Siddiqui is bringing home another award after being honoured with the Excellence in Cinema accolade at the prestigious French Riviera Film Festival.
The "Sacred Games" actor shared the good news on social media on 23 May with several photos from the said ceremony, revealing that the said award was presented by American actor-producer Vincent De Paul.
He wrote, "Receiving the #ExcellenceInCinema Award at the #FrenchRivieraFilmFestival made the wonderful evening all the more special. Memorable time spent with the amazing Cinema Artists from across the Globe was a beautiful feeling."
This latest award means that Nawazuddin is now the Indian actor with the most international awards.
The actor's first international recognition came in 2013 when he won Best Actor at the New York Indian Film Festival for "Dekh Indian Circus", followed by an Asia Pacific Screen Awards, the Chicago South Asian Film Festival award, the New York Indian Film Festival, and Cardiff International Film Festival, among others.
