15 Jun - Your favourite fictional bear's third movie is no longer called Paddington 3, as it has finally received its official title.

According to Deadline, the third instalment of the adaptation is now called "Paddington in Peru" and will now be helmed by director Dougal Wilson.

Wilson replaces original choice, Paul King, who directed the first two movies, who exited the project to focus on the Timothee Chalamet-starrer, "Wonka".


"As a huge fan of the first two films, I am very excited (if not a little intimidated) to be continuing the story of Paddington," said Wilson. "It's a massive responsibility, but all my efforts will be focused on making a third film that honours the love so many people have for this very special bear."

The first two Paddington Bear films were big hits, grossing over US$500 million worldwide.

Ben Whishaw voiced the titular bear in the first two movies, with co-stars that include Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, and Madeleine Harris.
