9 Dec – It was revealed that the new DC Studios duo, James Gunn and Peter Saffan have decided not to move forward with "Wonder Woman 3". According to Deadline, the two new heads recently told the director Patty Jenkins that the project does not fit in with the new plans. Sources claimed that the cancellation of the movie would save tens of millions of dollars - seeing that lead star Gal Gadot was on track for a USD 20 million fee for the third movie. However, it is noted that the decision to kill the project was not money-related, as the two are being given the freedom to spend as much money as they need for their new DCEU plans.
Rumours of the movie's cancellation sparked earlier this week, when Gadot suddenly tweeted what seemed to be a goodbye. It read, "A few years ago it was announced that I was going to play Wonder Woman. I've been so grateful for the opportunity to play such an incredible, iconic character and more than anything I'm grateful for YOU, the fans. Can't wait to share her next chapter with you." News of a third movie was first announced following the release of "Wonder Woman 1984" - though the sequel itself was panned by fans of the title.
