20 Feb – "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" is now holding the record for having the largest opening day number of 2023 to-date.

The movie grossed USD 46 million when it opened on 17 February, marking the third highest February opening day in history behind "Black Panther" (USD 75.9 million) and "Deadpool" (USD 47.3 million).

It is also the biggest opening number for an "Ant-Man" movie, with the 2015 movie opening at USD 22.6 million while its 2018 sequel opened at USD 33 million.

Despite the great opening number, it is noted that the movie does not hold a great approval rating from critics, though it received 84 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The movie, which has Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly playing the titular characters, also features Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Major, which was first mentioned in the Disney+ series, "Loki".
