8 Feb – It looks like the chance of us having another sequel to teen horror, "I Know What You Did Last Summer" is coming true. Sony Pictures was revealed to have decided to move forward with movie number four, with two of its original leads, Jennifer Love-Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. in talks to return. The project is still in the earliest stage for the time being, said sources, but that it will be penned by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson of "Thor: Love and Thunder" and "Do Revenge" fame.
The original movie, released in 1997 and which co-starred Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe, tells the story of the four friends who are hunted by a murderer after covering up an accident in which they supposedly killed a man. Its success spawned two more movies, "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" in 1998, and the 2006's "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer" - the latter which featured a completely new cast. Sources claimed that Sony was inspired by the success that the "Scream" franchise had at Paramount.
