29 Nov – Your Keluang Man is finally revealed and it will be played by actor Nas Muammar Zar aka Nas-T. The news was first revealed by Astro Shaw on 28 November via social media, stating that the actor has been chosen amid many who auditioned for the role since it was first announced earlier this year.
Speaking about his casting, Nas-T stated, "I am still nervous and can't believe that I have been chosen to play the titular character. I admit, the process was hard. I had to pass four phases and there were lots of other great actors.
Nas-T added that he felt quite humbled when he thought about how big the project is compared to himself. Aside from Nas-T, other cast members announced include Remy Ishak, who will play the role of the villainous Shamsir, Datuk Rosyam Nor as Ahmad, and Anwar Beg Mughal as Inspektor Sahab.
The upcoming movie, based on the very popular '90s animated series of the same name, will be directed by Anwari Ashraf of "Projek: High Council" fame. It is a story about a psychiatric patient who becomes the masked vigilante superhero.
The "Keluang Man" film is expected to be released in 2025.
