3 Dec - Amir Ahnaf could not hold back his tears while reading and appreciating the script in preparation for his role in the film "Kahar: Kapla High Council," directed by Razaisyam Rashid.

At the gala screening of the movie "Kahar: Kapla High Council" at GSC Mid Valley Megamall recently, Amir, who played the role of Kahar, shared that he had mixed feelings when he got to know the character's background more deeply after starring in the TV series "Project: High Council".

The former Hero Remaja 2021/2022 contestant also considered it a big challenge to bring such a heavy character to life on the big screen.

"The journey of this film is like a 'roller coaster of emotions'. Sometimes you have to cry, but then you have to hold on. In the final scene, Kahar was able to cry and let go of his feelings."

"Previously in the series project 'Project: High Council', I was only able to know about Kahar's character without any background context. For two years I waited to see what happened to Kahar. After getting the script for this film, I read it until I cried. I understood Kahar's feelings and I think that Kahar is me. Thank you to the scriptwriter, director and everyone involved in this script," he expressed.

Amir is also grateful for being given the opportunities to achieve all that he has in the industry. He was thrilled that both his parents also attended the gala night.

"Mama said 'Well done, son, mama cried. You acted so well' and my father also congratulated me, saying 'this is the best'.

"I am very proud of myself because in my whole life, I have never been proud of myself. Sometimes mom and dad are busy and don't have time to watch dramas and movies before. I am happy to make them proud. God willing, we will be able to make Malaysia proud," he said.

Speaking further about the fighting scenes, Amir said he did not face any problem in acting since he had studied martial arts such as silat, Muay Thai, boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu since he was in school.

"Kahar: Kapla High Council" continues making waves as it has collected a total of RM4.2 million after four days of screening in cinemas including the early screening.
