Datuk Yusof Haslam reveals plans for "Sheriff: Narko Integriti" sequel

5 Sep - Following the success of "Sheriff: Narko Integriti" in theatres, producer Datuk Yusof Haslam recently revealed that Skop Productions is now planning for a sequel.

Speaking to the media about the project, Yusof said that son and director Syafiq Yusof will begin filming next year, particularly after Raya.

"Syafiq is still busy with another movie right now. This project will involve a lot of parties, so it will take time. I have to repeat the same process that I have done for Sheriff earlier," he said.

"Nonetheless, the film having made RM 60 million box office does not guarantee that the sequel will get a heftier budget. We have to be careful when it comes to the budget. A huge capital does not promise a high return in profit. There are risks that you have to take when you are making a movie," he continued.

Meanwhile, Yusof said that the production has also decided to give bonuses to everybody involved in the making of "Sheriff" following its success.

"Everybody worked hard to make this film. I have done the same thing with my other films in the past," he added.
