"Don Dukun" made RM2.1 million in just three days


"Don Dukun" proves that horror-comedy is still Malaysians' choice
5 Nov - The new Zul Ariffin horror-comedy, "Don Dukun" has recently made RM 2.1 million at the box office after only three days.

The news was shared by Astro Shaw, stating, "Thank you for all of your support. Let's bring the family and have a good laugh together today!"

Speaking to the media of the initial success, director Wan Mohd Hafiz Wan Hussein stated that he has received lots of requests for a sequel from those who have watched the movie.

"I really am relieved to see the feedback from Malaysians about the film. I hope that many more will give it a chance and watch it in theatres," he said.

As for the sequel, Waan said that everything will rely on the final box office number.

"Right now, we believe that it may be able to reach RM 10 million," he said.

The movie stars Zul Ariffin as an Insta-famous shaman who comes from a lineage of famous shamans, but finds himself not being blessed with the same gift as the others.
