7 Jun - Evangeline Lilly recently announced that she is stepping away from Hollywood. For an indefinite time, that is. The actress announced the news on 4 June with an old footage recorded on the set of her hit show, "Lost", in which she spoke about how she'd see herself in ten years' time. "I am terrified to admit this to the rest of the acting world, but ideally 10 years from now, I'd like to be a retired actress and I would like to have a family... and potentially... influencing people's lives in a more humanitarian way," she expressed at the time.
In the caption, she wrote, "I am so filled with joy and contentment today as I live out my vision. Praise God, I feel so grateful for my blessings. Stepping away from what seems like the obvious choice (wealth and fame) can feel scary at times, but stepping into your dharma replaces the fear with fulfillment." "I might return to Hollywood one day, but, for now, this is where I belong. A new season has arrived, and I AM READY...and I AM HAPPY," she added. Lilly was last seen on the big screen in the 2023 Marvel movie, "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania", where she played the titular character Hope van Dyne/Wasp.
