25 Sep - Fans of the original thriller will be elated to know that Freddie Prinze Jr. is set to make his comeback to the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" franchise.

Prinze Jr. is set to reprise his role as Ray Bronson in the upcoming sequel film from Sony Pictures, which he previously played in the 1997 movie and its follow-up, "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer".

Meanwhile, his co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt is still negotiating her return as Julie James.

The upcoming film will introduce new characters played by Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers and Jonah Haur-King, though plot details for this latest installment are unknown.

Prinze Jr. and Hewitt starred in the original film based on the Lois Duncan novel of the same name, which follows four young friends (also starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Philippe) who are reunited after they find themselves being stalked following a previous tragic accident.

It is slated for 18 July 2025 release.
