6 Mar – Jack Black has finally revealed the origin to how he ended up performing Britney Spears' "Baby One More Time" with fellow Tenacious D member Kyle Glass recently. Black, whose video of the performance went viral on TikTok, revealed that the song is featured in the end credits of "Kung Fu Panda 4", and that it happened after director Mike Mitchell asked for a Tenacious D song for the end credits. "I was like, 'Really? Can we do Britney Spears?' He said yeah, and he said, 'Let's do 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' for the kung fu aspect of that song,' and we were like, 'Hell yeah,'" said Black. "So, we got in the recording studio and we did it and we're really proud of the track."
"We shot a little impromptu music video in Kyle's hotel room and we put it on the Internet and it's gone crazy viral. It's exciting," he said. The fourth "Kung Fu Panda" film features the voice cast of stars like Viola Davis, Awkwafina, Dustin Hoffman, James Hong, Bryan Cranston and Ke Huy Quan. It is set to be released on 8 March.
