25 Mar - The hit Tamil movie "RRR" continues to spark inspirations outside India, with the latest being a musical adaptation in Japan.

The movie, which went viral worldwide last year, was revealed to have been adapted by the all-female musical theatre troupe, The Takarazuka Revue, with director SS Rajamouli himself attending the show.

He posted on X, "It's an honour that our RRR has been adapted as a musical by the 110-year-old Takarazuka company. Thank you Japanese audience for embracing the Broadway play of RRR just like the film itself. Overwhelmed by your response..."

"Can't appreciate all the girls enough for your energy, talent, and meticulousness in the show. ARIGATO GOZAIMASU," he added.

Rajamouli also shared a video in which he can be seen taking a bow as the audience gave him a thunderous applause.

The film won Best Original Song at the Golden Globes and the 95th Academy Awards for the song, "Naatu Naatu".
