12 Dec - Amid allegations of rape, Jay-Z recently decided that it is time to show family unity by making a rare red carpet appearance alongside wife and daughter at the Los Angeles premiere of "Mufasa: The Lion King".

The rap mogul was seen accompanying pop royalty wife Beyonce and daughter Blue Ivy Carter, as well as mother-in-law Tina Knowles as they attended the premiere in support of Blue Ivy, who is a part of the film as the voice of Kiara, the daughter of Simba and Nala.

Beyonce also reprised her role from the 2019 "The Lion King" as Nala to Donald Glover's Simba.

The appearance of the whole family is considered rare seeing that Beyonce has preferred doing her own photoshoots and avoiding most red carpets. It is noted that the media was not informed prior to their appearance at the event.

It was earlier this week that Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, was mentioned in a lawsuit filed by attorney Tony Buzbee on behalf of a "Jane Doe", who alleged that the rapper, along with Sean "Diddy" Combs, raped her at a house party in New York after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.

She claimed to only be 13 at the time.

Jay-Z had since denied the allegations, saying that it was a form of blackmail.
