29 Oct - Fans of "Jumanji" will finally have the answer that they are waiting for - the movie franchise will be returning in 2026!

Sony Pictures recently announced that "Jumanji 3" will be released in theatres on 11 December 2026, with lead stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Jack Black expected to reprise their roles.

It is noted that the first Dwayne Johnson-starring Jumanji film, "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" (2017) is also the third instalment in the "Jumanji" series that serves as a standalone movie. It made USD 950 million at the global box office.

The story focuses on a group of teenagers who come across Jumanji, now transformed into a video game twenty-two years after the events of the 1995 Robin Williams-starrer. They then find themselves trapped inside the game as a set of adult avatars who have to beat the game in order to return to the real world.
