7 Aug – It looks like Lionsgate is not going to say goodbye to John Wick at all, as it was revealed that they are now following up the movies with a TV series. The studio is currently developing the project despite yet to get any network or streaming service attached. The series, called "John Wick: Under the High Table", will pick up immediately after the events of the fourth movie. It will also be executive produced by John Wick himself Keanu Reeves alongside director Chad Stahelski, with Lionsgate Television producing the project.
The official logline read, "John Wick has left the world of the High Table in a tenuous position and a collection of new characters will look to make a name for themselves while some of the franchise stalwart characters remain committed to the old-world order. The series will combine new and old and thrust the Wick universe into a new age." It is noted that Lionsgate TV has already produced a miniseries based on the John Wick universe called "The Continental: From the World of John Wick", which served as a prequel to the events of the films.
