8 May - Vin Diesel is set to begin filming the latest instalment of his "Riddick"/"Pitch Black" series of films, "Riddick: Furya".

As reported on THR, the movie will begin shooting on 26 August around Germany, Spain and the UK, with Diesel also producing the project that will be helmed by director David Twohy.

The original movie, "Pitch Black" was released in 2000 and starred Diesel as the antihero Richard B. Riddick who joins forces with survivors of a spaceship crash in escaping a hostile planet.

The movie spawned the sequel four years later, "The Chronicles of Riddick", which didn't do well at the box office, and later the 2013 movie, "Riddick", which brought the movie back to its "Pitch Black" routes.

In "Riddick: Furya", Diesel's Riddick is finally home, but finds his fellow Furyans fighting to survive against a new monster.
