18 Jun - Malaysian action heist movie "The Experts," which was produced by Astro Shaw in association with ZAK Capital and TGV Pictures, has achieved a remarkable milestone by being selected for its high production quality to be showcased at the 2024 Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF).

The screening of "The Experts" falls under the 2024 The Belt and Road Film Week line-up, taking place in Shanghai, Nanjing, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Ningbo and Hefei, China. Among other international films screening under the line-up include "Sima's Unfinished Narration" from Iran, "Pictures of Ghost" from Brazil, "Matryoshka" from Germany, "Children of the Sea" from Japan and "Nasty" from Italy.

According to Raja Jastina Raja Arshad, the Executive Producer of "The Experts" and also the Head of Astro Shaw, "We're absolutely thrilled to present 'The Experts' representing Malaysia at prestigious events such as the Shanghai International Film Festival. These siblings are more than meets the eye

Starring Aaron Aziz, Syafiq Kyle, Mimi Lana, Remy Ishak, Ray Dapdap, Maya Karin and many more, "The Experts" is still showing in cinemas across Malaysia. The film follows a family of five siblings who, after a decade of hard-earned peace, the ex-criminal siblings are ruthlessly dragged back to their treacherous past. A notorious gangster blackmails them into a heart-pounding heist where old grudges ignite, and a shocking family tragedy resurfaces. As the shadows of their criminal history engulf them, loyalties fray, and their survival hangs in the balance.

The Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) is one of East Asia's largest and most prestigious film festivals. Founded in 1993, it is held annually in Shanghai, China. SIFF showcases a diverse range of films from around the world, including feature films, documentaries and short films.
