11 Nov - Eight years after the fifth "Ice Age" movie, it was revealed that the sixth film of the animated feature series is currently in the works from Disney.

In a video shown at D23 Brazil recently, Ray Romano, who voiced the character Manny the woolly mammoth, is seen wearing a blanket as he revealed, "Ray Romano here with some big news! Wow, it's cold in here. Did the AC break or something?"

The video then cuts to Queen Latifah (who voiced the female woolly mammoth Ellie), who calls Romano and asked, "Hey Ray, ready to give the big announcement?"

"I see you got my gift. I thought it would be fun," she added, while snow begins to fall on the soundstage where Romano was. The actor then declared, "Ice Age 6 is coming to theaters."

John Leguizamo, who voiced Sid the ground sloth, appeared in the final seconds, saying, "The Herd is back, baby! I got to call everybody I know."

It is noted that "Ice Age 6" will be the first film in the series to be released in theatres after the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney.

Following the 2016 movie, "Collision Course", all of the spinoff and series were released on Disney+.
