29 Sep - For the first time ever, the real Anna Wintour has united with the fictional Anna Wintour, Miranda Priestly at the same event.

The meeting happened at the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show in Milan, where Meryl Streep, who played the "Devil Wears Prada" character inspired by Wintour, sat at the opposite of the Vogue icon, focused on the models walking down the runway. Seen with Streep was Stanley Tucci, who played Runway's art director, Nigel.

Wintour can also be seen smiling as she watched the two in character.

The meeting was also shared by Vogue on social media, which posted a video of Wintour speaking with Streep, as well as Tucci and new addition, Simone Ashley.

"Can you please spell Gabbana? Of course they can. Today in Milan, legendary Runway magazine editor Miranda Priestly caught up with Vogue's Anna Wintour following the spring 2026 @dolcegabbana show," the post read.

Earlier this month, Wintour shared with The New Yorker Radio Hour podcast what she thought about the original movie, just as the sequel began filming.

"First of all, it was Meryl Streep, which, fantastic," she said. "Then I went to see the film, and I found it highly enjoyable. It was very funny. Miuccia [Prada] and I talk about it a lot, and I say to her, 'Well, it was really good for you.'"

"The Devil Wears Prada 2" is set to hit theaters on 1 May 2026.
