"Banduan" has amassed RM3 million!
12 Nov - "Banduan", the Malaysian remake of Karthi's "Kaithi" has now amassed RM3 million in its opening weekend.

The news was announced by Astro Shaw on social media, writing, "RM3 million. Do not be a FOMO (fear of missing out). Let's go and see Dali in theatres now!"

This success proves that the remake version is not only well-received by audiences but also successfully pays tribute to the original 2019 Indian blockbuster.

Kalyana Devan, the Executive Producer of "Banduan", expressed, "We are truly grateful and touched by the positive response toward 'Banduan' and how this film has united audiences from various cultural and racial backgrounds. This warm reception proves that the first Tamil remake adapted into the Malay language has been successful in combining the emotional storytelling strength of Tamil cinema with action infused with local flavour."
