29 Jul - Ejen Ali has once again made Malaysia proud by being chosen to represent the country at the prestigious World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.

Ejen Ali and Ejen Alicia's appearance at the Malaysia Pavilion created a major attraction, with visitors from around the world lining up just for the chance to meet and take photos with the animated heroes. The warm reception that was received clearly reflects the global appeal of this homegrown intellectual property (IP).

As one of the biggest animation titles in Malaysia, WAU Animations' Ejen Ali carried a universal message rooted in courage, integrity, and loyalty, which are values that transcend cultures and are easily understood and appreciated worldwide.

One of the most touching moments occurred when a young Japanese child returned to the booth after watching the trailer and said with excitement, "I want to be like him!"

It was a heartfelt moment that showcases Ejen Ali's ability to inspire and represent Malaysian identity in a subtle yet powerful way.

WAU Animation's Usamah Zaid Yasin, who was also present at the Malaysia Pavilion on 21 and 22 July, also participated in a special sharing session highlighting the creative process behind the Ejen Ali franchise and WAU Animation's vision to create world-class animated content.

The session received passionate responses from audiences, that include Japanese creative industry professionals who expressed interest in learning more about the IP, a promising sign of future collaborations and international partnerships.

World Expo 2025 runs from 13 April to 13 October 2025, and is expected to attract over 28 million visitors from around the globe.
