"F1" is now Brad Pitt's box office champion
6 Aug - It may not have made a billion dollars, but "F1 the Movie" has turned out to be Brad Pitt's biggest box office film to-date.

The movie, which opened back in late June with a domestic opening weekend of USD 57 million, has now surpassed "Napoleon" to be Apple Studios' highest-grossing theatrical release of all time at USD 545.6 million globally.

This also means that it has outgrossed 2013's "World War Z", which was Pitt's biggest box office number at USD 540.4 million.

"World War Z' was previously Pitt's biggest film
Some of Pitt's successful movies include "Troy" (USD 497.4 million), "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" (USD 487.3 million), and the three movies of the Ocean franchise (USD 450.7 million, USD 362.7 million, and USD 311.3 million respectively).

However, despite the huge number, it is noted that "F1 The Movie" was made with a huge budget of USD 200 to 300 million, meaning that the film has not been considered a great big screen success.

"F1 The Movie" needs to make more than USD 700 million to break even
