18 Apr - After keeping silent about the criticism against his first film, "Nadaaniyan", Ibrahim Ali Khan finally decided to share his thoughts with the media about it.

The actor, who made his acting debut through the Netflix rom-com with Khushi Kapoor, admitted that people were expecting too much for what supposed to be a feel-good movie.

"It was not to be some grand film. It was meant to be a sweet, breezy rom-com that you should enjoy on a Friday night, chilling in bed," he said. "I've seen the mixed reviews on social media, they do fry your brains a bit. Obviously, most of them are bad because that's just how social media works."

Admitting that the reviews on social media were hurtful, Ibrahim said that people twisted it a lot.

"Sure, as a lead actor, I have to bring in loads more than what I did. I know I can bring it, and I am confident that I will bring it in my future projects. But I'm happy with what it was," he added.

Asked how he would rate himself in the movie, the son of Saif Ali Khan and ex-wife Amrita Singh said that there is always room for improvement. However, he would give himself 3 or 3.5 stars because one shouldn't be too hard on oneself.

Despite the bad reviews and backlash, Ibrahim is not slowing down. The actor has already bagged two big-budget films, "Sarzameen" (which has completed filming) and "Diler", which is currently in production.
