James Cameron may conclude the "Avatar" saga after third film
29 Dec - James Cameron recently stated that he will hold a press conference if he somehow decided that there will be no movie number four and five for "Avatar".

The filmmaker, whose third "Avatar film," "Fire and Ash" has already exceeded USD 1 billion at the box office in the first week, shared with Entertainment Weekly, "I don't know if the saga goes beyond this point. I hope it does. But, you know, we prove that business case every time we go out."

"Here's what it is. If we don't get to make 4 and 5, for whatever reason, I'll hold a press conference and I'll tell you what we were going to do. How's that?" he added.

He also planned to novelise the films, saying that it might be good to have the canonical record of what it was all supposed to be.

The first movie, released in 2009, is still currently the highest grossing movie of all time, while the second film, "The Way of Water" is at number three of the same list.

Cameron previously announced that there will be five movies in the "Avatar" franchise, though the recent changes in the trend of movie-watching has caused the filmmaker to doubt his plan.
