18 Dec - James Cameron is very much interested to work with SS Rajamouli, as the Hollywood director expressed recently in speaking with the Indian filmmaker.

The two movie lovers had a conversation to promote Cameron's "Avatar: Fire & Ash," where they spoke candidly about their creative processes, to which the Hollywood auteur then mentioned Rajamouli's new project, "Varanasi" and asked how it's going.

Revealing that it's been a year since they started, Rajamouli said that he has seven or eight months more to go in production.

Cameron then quipped, "Call me when you are shooting something fun, something with tigers," which brought laughter from the "RRR" director.

The "Avatar" helmer then continued to express his admiration for Rajamouli, saying that he would love to visit him on set.

"You can give me a camera, and I'll operate it. I can even give you a few shots like a second unit director," Cameron said.

To that, Rajamouli responded, "I'll somehow hold you to that promise and bring you to Hyderabad to my film sets. I can't wait."

It is noted that Cameron first met Rajamouli at the Critics' Choice Awards in 2023, where he expressed his admiration for "RRR".
