17 Nov - Kamal Haasan recently confirmed that director Sundar C has departed from the recently announced movie, "Thalaivar 173," which will reunite him with Rajinikanth.

The actor, who is also producing the film under his Raaj Kamal banner, assured that all is going well with the project despite the filmmaker's withdrawal, saying, "Sundar C has already sent his statement and there is nothing more for me to add."

"Until my star is satisfied with the script, we will keep scouting. We are currently in the process of finalising a quality script," he added.

Sundar C, who was previously announced as the director of the upcoming project, released a statement recently saying that he has decided to leave due to "unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances."

"In life, there are moments when we must follow the path laid out for us, even if it diverges from our dreams. My association with these two icons goes back a long way, and I will always hold them in the highest regard. The special moments we have shared over the past few days will be cherished forever by me. They have taught me invaluable lessons, and I will continue to seek their inspiration and wisdom as I move forward," he said.
