"Keluang Man" official trailer unveiled

Astro Shaw Cinematic Universe begins with Keluang Man

25 Apr - Astro Shaw has officially launched the trailer for "Keluang Man," marking the beginning of the Astro Shaw Cinematic Universe. The release included the official poster and announcement of a strategic marketing campaign to boost audience engagement.

The live-action adaptation presents a modernized take on Keluang Man with impressive action sequences and high-quality visuals. The trailer has generated excitement among both longtime fans and new viewers, showcasing Malaysia's capability to produce world-class superhero films.

Executive Producer and Head of Astro Shaw, Raja Jastina Raja Arshad, said, "We announced this production three years ago, successfully implementing various initiatives including partnerships with Wonda Coffee, Keluang Man's debut in full costume during Malaysia's 67th Independence Day, and a giant mural in Kluang, Johor."

"Keluang Man represents the first chapter of Astro Shaw's cinematic universe. The strong interest from major local brands reflects support for local content and demonstrates the potential of Malaysia's creative industry as a bridge between entertainment and commercial sectors."

A range of creative collaborations have been planned to amplify Keluang Man's theatrical release, including:

Wonda Kopi Kluang
This special edition coffee, enriched with Tongkat Ali, features limited-edition packaging showcasing five key characters from the Keluang Man universe: Keluang Man, Ahmad, Shamsir, Dr. Malini, and BeBe. Now available at selected retailers including 7-Eleven, myNEWS, Shell, and Petronas. Fans can collect exclusive merchandise including mini figurines, umbrellas, comics, and keychains at selected stores.

Wonda-ful Keluang Man Burger
In a first for a Malaysian film, myBurgerLab introduces the "Wonda-ful Keluang Man Burger" featuring a distinctive maroon bun and unique Wonda Coffee-infused sauce inspired by the superhero's suit. Available at all myBurgerLab outlets for RM20, or as part of a combo with fries and a Wonda milkshake for RM41.90.

Keluang Man WONDA Fun Run
Join Keluang Man and local celebrities for a 5KM run on May 18 at Menara DBKL, Kuala Lumpur, starting at 5:00 AM during DBKL's Car Free Morning. The first 1,000 registered participants receive an exclusive Keluang Man jersey. Registration opens 23 April - 2 May at keluangman.com.

Keluang Man Premium Collection by Royal Selangor
This collection features limited-edition mini figurines (30 units) of Keluang Man in a silat pose, each with its own certificate. The pewter lapel pins (100 units) showcase Keluang Man's iconic symbol, available in satin and 24K gold-plated finishes.

Keluang Man x Fung Keong
Malaysia's iconic footwear brand since 1939 presents FK Sneakers, inspired by Keluang Man's legendary costume. These retro-classic designs will be available at selected Fung Keong outlets starting May.

Keluang Man x Abstrax
Popular local brand Abstrax introduces an exclusive Keluang Man jersey, designed to reflect the superhero's character and style. Available at selected Abstrax outlets.

Directed by Anwari Ashraf, "Keluang Man" stars Nas Muammar Zar (Nas-T), Dato' Remy Ishak, Anwaar Beg Moghal, Datuk Rosyam Nor, Shweta Sekhon, Halim Othman, Amelia Henderson, Sham Sunder, and Dennis Yin.
