19 Nov - Joseph Kosinski has no qualms helming another "F1" movie, following the success of the film that was released in mid-2025.

Speaking at the Contenders Film Los Angeles recently, the filmmaker stated that he and the producers have started discussing about a sequel to the Brad Pitt-starrer, saying that he would love to see what Sonny Hayes, the character played by Pitt, would do next.

"I'd love to see what's happened with the APXGP team and Joshua Pearce, and see how his career goes, so I would love to be able to tell another chapter in that story and it's something we just started kind of dreaming about and it's fun to be in this stage of imagining what that might be," he said.

It is noted that fellow producer Lewis Hamilton previously expressed disinterest in rushing a sequel, saying, "I think the worst thing we probably could do is to rush into doing a sequel. Most sequels are way worse, and so we don't need to rush it. I think if we do [make] a sequel, I would say let's really, really take our time in getting it even better."

The film, which was released in June 2025, made USD 631.1 million at the box office, becoming the seventh-highest-grossing film of 2025, the highest-grossing auto racing film, and the highest-grossing film of Pitt's career.
