27 Oct - Following news about a movie remake of "Miami Vice", it was reported that Michael B. Jordan is now in talks to star as one of the duo.

The new movie, which will be helmed by Joseph Kosinski of "F1" fame, will have Jordan playing the role of Ricardo Tubbs, previously portrayed by Philip Michael Thomas in the TV series and later Jamie Foxx in the 2006 film.

The character is an undercover detective for the Metro-Dade Police Department's Organised Crime Bureau who hailed from New York City to Miami in order to track down his brother's murderer.

No news as to who will play James Crockett, previously popularised by Don Johnson.

The upcoming movie is written by Eric Warren Singer and Dan Gilroy based on the characters created by Anthony Yerkovich for the 1980s NBC show.

Jordan was last seen in "Sinners" and will be seen next in "The Thomas Crown Affair", which he is also directing and producing.
