9 Dec - From the producers of box-office hits "BoBoiBoy" and "Mechamato", MONSTA and Astro Shaw proudly present "Papa Zola The Movie", arriving in cinemas across Malaysia and Brunei starting 11 December, and in Singapore within the same week.

For the first time ever, Papa Zola takes centre stage as the main character in his very own feature film. Viewers will be treated to his untold origin story, finally revealed on the big screen through a fresh narrative filled with action and surprises.

Papa Zola's iconic humour remains at the heart of this film, delivering fun for the whole family. The storyline is designed to be easily enjoyed even by those who have never followed the "BoBoiBoy" series, with a blend of adrenaline-pumping action, heartfelt drama, and non-stop comedy that appeals to audiences of all ages.

Following its release in Malaysia, Brunei, and Singapore, "Papa Zola The Movie" will head to international markets beginning January 2026 in Indonesia. The film will then continue its journey to India, Vietnam, and the Middle East - including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Turkiye - starting April 2026, further solidifying its potential as a Malaysian animated feature capable of competing globally.

Set against the backdrop of Kuala Lumpur, the film introduces a brand-new dimension to the Papa Zola universe, showcasing the maturity of Malaysian animation through stunning visuals, high-energy action sequences, and an expansive world design.

According to Director, Writer and MONSTA CEO Nizam Abd Razak, "This is the first time MONSTA is featuring an adult character as the main lead, designed for viewers of all generations. We refined our animation techniques by introducing crowd simulation, hair simulation, and water simulation to elevate the cinematic experience."

Executive Producer and Astro Shaw Head Raja Jastina Raja Arshad shared, "Following our strong collaboration on 'BoBoiBoy Movie 2' and 'Mechamato Movie', we're excited to work with MONSTA again on 'Papa Zola The Movie'. This film features storytelling and production quality that can be enjoyed by viewers of all ages, and we've planned various activities including the 'Kebena-RUN 2025' fun run to expand its reach."
