The Tamil superstar attracted attention recently, when he surprised fans in the economy class by his appearance for his recent flight to Chennai. The moment went viral as fans cheered and waved at him, and shouted "Thalaivar!"
The filmmaker himself smiled and waved back at his fans as he went to his seat near the cabin door, and even stopped himself to wave again before finally sitting down. The video, that had since gone viral on X, had everybody praising the superstar for being a humble person.
"Thalaivar on board, and the flight just turned into a celebration! #Rajinikanth magic never fades," one netizen said. "The ever-humble superstar," said another. It is noted that Rajinikanth has no qualms flying economy despite his star status. Last year, a fan posted a video of him talking to people and sitting quietly on a window seat in the economy class.
