29 Sep - It has now been confirmed that Rick Moranis, Bill Pullman, Daphne Zuniga and George Wyner will all return for the sequel of their hit parody movie, "Spaceballs".

The news was confirmed by Amazon MGM Studios with a photo from the table read, which sees the four actors, who play Dark Helmet, Lone Starr, Princess Vespa and Colonel Sandurz respectively, interacting with the circle of cast.

Also seen at the table read are Mel Brooks, and new additions Josh Gad, Keke Palmer, Lewis Pullman and Anthony Carrigan, who will play new characters.

It was last year that Gad teased that he has penned the script for the sequel, writing on Instagram, "Just handed in a film script that I think may be the funniest and best thing I've ever worked on and I am so freaking excited."

Production is currently underway for a theatrical release of 2027.
