21 Apr - Astro Shaw is representing a special initiative in collaboration with local pewter brand, Royal Selangor, to create an exclusive collection inspired by Malaysia's iconic superhero film, Keluang Man. This exclusive collection features limited-edition figurines and pins, meticulously designed and crafted by Royal Selangor's skilled pewtersmiths. The initiative marks the inaugural collaboration between two renowned brands - Astro Shaw, a leader in the Malaysian film industry, and Royal Selangor, an internationally acclaimed pewter brand celebrated for its exceptional craftsmanship.
The special collection showcases Keluang Man in the form of an exclusive pin and miniature figurine, thoughtfully designed by Royal Selangor's master artisans and crafted from the brand's signature high-quality pewter. Inspired by the beloved animated series, the figurine captures Keluang Man mid-motion in his iconic silat pose. Made from satin-finished pewter, this limited-edition release is restricted to only 30 individually numbered units. The base of the figurine also features a space for personalised engraving.
The Keluang Man pewter lapel pin highlights his iconic emblem, serving as a bold tribute to the people's hero who fights crime under the cover of night. Available in a satin finish, this limited edition is restricted to only 100 units, with each pin plated in 24K gold. The collection will officially go on sale at selected Royal Selangor outlets starting in May. "This collaboration reflects our strategy to expand the value of local film IP (intellectual property) and further strengthen the Keluang Man brand through partnerships with premium names like Royal Selangor. Directed by Anwari Ashraf, the Keluang Man film features a star-studded cast including Nas Muammar Zar, Remy Ishak, Anwaar Beg Moghal, Rosyam Nor, Shweta Sekhon, Halim Othman, Amelia Henderson, Sham Sunder, Dennis Yin, and many more.
