26 Sep - It looks like "Spider-Man" (the animated movie, not the Marvel film) has shifted its release date again, this time to 18 June 2027.

On 25 September, Sony announced that the movie, "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" will be releasing a week earlier to Father's Day weekend, which is a slot usually occupied by Disney and Pixar.

As it is, the date is also when Disney/Pixar is releasing their cat-themed film, "Gatto".

"Gatto" is the next original Disney/Pixar film after the failure of "Elio"
At the same time, the two titles will also be competing with another family movie releasing a week early, the live-action "How to Train Your Dragon 2", which the first live-action movie made USD 635 million at the box office.

"Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" is the third and final instalment of the Spider-Verse trilogy, which started with "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" (2018), followed by "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" (2023).

"How to Train Your Dragon 2" to also release in the same period
