1 Aug - While he has played a James Bond-like character in the past, Taron Egerton doesn't see himself vying for the role of 007.

In a recent interview with Collider, the actor stated that he is just "too messy" for the more polished British spy, when asked if he would try the role for the upcoming new Bond era under the new producing team of Amy Pascal and David Heyman and director Denis Villeneuve.

I think I'm not [the right fit]. I really love James Bond and particularly Daniel Craig's tenure," said the "Kingsman" star. "But I think I wouldn't be good at it, and I think there's so many cool, younger actors who would be great for it. I think it would be wasted on me, probably."

In his mid-30s, Egerton said that he would like to explore new kinds of roles, and that playing Bond would consume his life.

"As far as I'm aware, nobody's asking me to do it. But also, it's possibly not quite the thing that would make me happiest," he added.
