18 Jul - It was reported that Vikrant Massey has now withdrawn from the highly-anticipated "Don 3".

The actor, who was said to have taken the role of the main antagonist to the titular character, allegedly departed from the project due to the role not "offering enough depth" for him, and that the character requires a major transformation.

Director Farhan Akhtar is reportedly scrambling to find a replacement, it was said, with actors like Vijay Deverakonda and Aditya Roy Kapur reportedly in talks to replace Vikrant.

A source stated, "There is no doubt that Massey would have been phenomenal. We are certain that another actor of his calibre will step up and take this challenge head-on."

This is the second occurrence in production whereby an actor had to leave the project. Earlier, Kiara Advani was replaced by Kriti Sanon after she found out that she was pregnant with her first child. The actress had since given birth to a baby girl.

The film, which has Ranveer Singh replacing Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, will begin filming in January 2026.
