21 Jan - Awie has no plan to make his acting return for the time being, despite still having a passion for acting.

The rock legend, who was last seen in his own directorial effort, "Rebel," stated that things have not been the same since the passing of comedy auteur Mamat Khalid, whom he has worked with in several films including "Zombi Kampung Pisang".

"I miss him very much. Now that he is gone, I felt lost and discouraged," he added.

At the same time, the singer said that he had to decline offers that came his way due to his own busy schedule performing at shows and concerts.

"With the concert project still going on, if I leave the studio to go to a shooting set, I will lose the momentum. It is not easy to get it back," he added.

However, Awie, real name Azhar Othman, said that he might be more willing to dedicate his time to projects produced by his own company, Rumah Produksi Merah, which has produced films like "10 Tips Tipu Bini," "Sue-On" and "Rebel".
