- Rapper-actor Donald Glover has recently been announced as the latest cast of the upcoming Super Mario sequel, "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie".
The actor, also known by his stage name Childish Gambino, is voicing the character of the great dinosaur Yoshi, a supporting character in the Mario franchise that has appeared in "Mario Party" and "Mario Kart", as well as many other related Mario sports games.
Glover joins new additions that include Luis Guzman as Wart and Issa Rae as Honey Queen.
Bowser returns with Jack Black voicing
Chris Pratt returns to voice the character of Mario following the success of 2023's "The Super Mario Bros. Movie." He is joined by fellow co-stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek.
"The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic. It is set to be released in theatres on 1 April.
