13 Apr - The CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification), has denied the notion that the leak of Vijay's final film, "Jana Nayagan" had come from them.

In a statement released on social media, the CBFC clarified that it follows a secure KDM (Key Delivery Message) system for all theatrical films submitted for certification. Access to the content is password-protected, and the KDM remains solely with the producer and/or filmmaker.

It added that the film cannot be accessed or viewed without a valid KDM.

"The DCP (Digital Cinema Package) of "Jana Nayagan" was handed over to the applicant in Mumbai on 17 March with due acknowledgement, and has remained with them since," it stated.

It is noted that the leak occurred as the movie continues to experience delays in certification issue. "Jana Nayagan," which was originally scheduled to release on 9 January, has yet to get a release date due to the certification issue.
