Korean action star Ma Dong-seok returns in James Wan's Hollywood remake
13 Mar - It was revealed that James Wan will return to directing for the English-language remake of the hit South Korean film, "The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil".

The horror auteur has been hired by Paramount Pictures for the job, just as he is preparing for the next instalment of "Paranormal Activity" for the studio. It will be his first directorial effort since 2023's "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom".

The movie will star Ma Dong-seok (aka Don Lee), who was also one of the stars of the original film.

The original film is directed by Lee Won-tae and is based on a true story, when a gangster and a cop join forces to capture a serial killer for their own purposes.

Ma Dong-seok played the role of the gangster in the 2019 film, with Kim Mu-yeol and Kim Sung-kyu playing the cop and the serial killer, respectively.

The Hollywood remake will be written by Shay Hatten of "John Wick" fame".
